Athletic Training is FREE at Three Rivers Therapy!! If you have additional needs beyond Athletic Training we can make the referral or help you with the process.

At Three Rivers Therapy, our Certified Athletic Trainer is a highly educated, licensed health care professional. She has 4 years undergrad in sports medicine, 2 years grad school in exercise physiology and cardiac rehabilitation at the University of Akron and 2 years at Zane State for PTA

Along with advanced continuing education at Boston College for cadaver bisection, Athletic Trainers are required to have over 1500 contact hours before sitting for the national exam. Michelle holds a National Certification, as well as, her State of Ohio Certification.

Michelle's Athletic Training experiences:

 

Whitney Rose, DPT is our doctor of physical therapy who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of various diagnoses that limits your physical function. She evaluates components of your movement including:

  • Strength

  • Range of motion

  • Flexibility

  • Balance

  • Posture

  • Body mechanics

  • Coordination

  • Endurance

  • General mobility (walking, stair climbing, getting in and out of bed or chairs)

 

Important components of your treatment program include:

  • Education about the cause of your problem

  • Instruction in exercises to improve your function

  • Most importantly, your participation. Compliance and participation by you, the patient,  is crucial to the success of your therapy program!

 

Our physical therapist's overall goal is to maintain, restore, and improve your mobility and help reduce your pain and only qualified, licensed, physical therpists and assistants handle your treatments. We are dedicated to providing you with excellent customer service and hands on care!
